Shivam Dube is in the squad after the Asian Games gold. The BCCI has named India's 16-member T20I squad for the New Zealand tour, with Shreyas Iyer as captain and Tilak Varma as vice-captain. The five T20Is run from 22 October to 1 November in Christchurch, Wellington, Auckland and Hamilton.

India vs West Indies, 2nd T20I, West Indies tour of India 2026, at Ranchi. Shivam Dube was sent in early in the middle phase, ahead of Shreyas Iyer and Tilak Varma, but he could not grab the opportunity and finished on 7 off 10 balls. India still posted a target of 250, helped by Sanju Samson's 82 off 41. With the ball, Dube gave away 30 runs in his 2 overs as West Indies chased the target down with 9 balls to spare, finishing on 252/4 in 18.3 overs, to win by 6 wickets.
India vs Pakistan, Final, Asian Games 2026. Dube walked in with India 5 down and the innings had slowed a touch, but he picked up the tempo quickly, making 27 off just 15 balls with 2 sixes and 2 fours at a strike rate of 180. Batting alongside Tilak Varma's unbeaten 51 off 22, Dube gave the innings a good finishing touch on a pitch that was turning, helping India post a challenging 211. It's the kind of cameo CSK will want more of from him through the middle overs — Samson, by contrast, managed just 2 off 4 in the same innings. Dube backed it up with the ball too. His very first delivery brought India a breakthrough, Saim Ayub caught out to end a threatening 87-run stand with Hasan Nawaz. His second over went for plenty as Pakistan tried to stay in the hunt, but he finished with 2/33 off 3 overs. By the last over Pakistan needed 33 off 6 balls, a formality at that point, and India closed it out to win by 19 runs and claim the Asian Games gold medal. Yet another under-the-radar matchwinning performance from Dube in a final, much like his heroics in the recent T20 World Cup.
