His knock helped India post a target of 250. But West Indies chased it down with 9 balls to spare, finishing on 252/4 in 18.3 overs, to win by 6 wickets. Shai Hope hit an unbeaten 102 off 45 and Sherfane Rutherford made 84 off 37, and Samson took the catch off Kuldeep Yadav to dismiss Rutherford.
