Hello Yellow Army!
Day 3 of Round 4 was all about our boys' teams taking control of their matches. If you missed it, here is our day 2 report, where Urvil Patel smashed that unbelievable double ton.
This time it was our captain Kartik Sharma who took the spotlight with a quick 63, and a few of our other boys were busy with the ball in their hands. So let's go through it.

Kartik Sharma Ranji Trophy Round 4 Day 3: 63 vs Himachal Pradesh
It was not a very long stay, but what a contribution! Kartik resumed on 9 not out and made a quick 63 off 59 balls in the first session, and Rajasthan had already stretched their lead past 290 before he departed.
Rajasthan then declared on 521/8, and Himachal Pradesh ended day 3 on 83/4 in 29 overs, still needing 364 runs to win. After being bowled out for just 78 on day 1, this is a massive turnaround, and I really hope the bowlers finish the job tomorrow and get Rajasthan their first win of the season.
Kuldip Yadav Ranji Trophy Round 4 Day 3: 1/13 vs Arunachal Pradesh
Kuldip was waiting for his turn with the bat, but Mizoram had already piled up a mammoth 571/9 declared, and he made just 1 run. It hardly mattered, though, because he got going with the ball straight away.
He bowled a tight spell of 9 overs for just 13 runs and picked up a breakthrough before stumps, after his 4/44 on day 1. Arunachal Pradesh ended day 3 on 86/1 in 32 overs, still trailing by 200 runs.
Sarfaraz Khan Ranji Trophy Round 4 Day 3: Unbeaten 3 vs Railways
Sarfaraz came out to bat right at the end of the day and is unbeaten on 3. It is the first time he got a chance to bat in the second innings this season, so there is not much to say yet, but I hope he makes it count tomorrow.
Mumbai bowled Railways out for 259 against their own 396 and ended day 3 on 174/4 in 36 overs, already leading by 311 runs. It is already a strong position for Mumbai, so tomorrow they need to declare as early as possible, invite Railways to bat and bowl them all out to win, and avoid any chance of a draw to keep their winning streak going.
Prashant Veer Ranji Trophy Round 4 Day 3: 14 vs Baroda
Prashant Veer came to bat and made 14 before getting out, on a day when the openers did all the heavy lifting. Adarsh Singh (162) and Madhav Kaushik (137) carried on from day 2 and built a massive 309-run opening partnership, but the lower order did not add much after that.
Uttar Pradesh ended day 3 on 455/8 in 133 overs, leading Baroda by 100 runs. It is a good position, but I would have liked them to push the lead even further.
Gurjapneet Singh Ranji Trophy Round 4 Day 3: 1/34 and 0/44 vs Chandigarh
Gurjapneet carried on without a wicket, and finished the first innings with 1/34 in 12 overs. His team-mates did the job, as Chandigarh were bowled out for just 94 and forced to follow on.
The second innings was not a good one for him, as he went for 44 runs in 10 overs without a wicket, which was expensive. But it does not matter much, as Chandigarh ended day 3 on 189/7 in 57 overs, still trailing by 288 runs, and Tamil Nadu are heading for a big win.
Aman Khan Ranji Trophy Round 4 Day 3: 0/47 vs Jammu and Kashmir
Not a great day for Aman. He tried his hand with the ball as well, but went wicketless, bowling 12 overs for 47 runs.
Qamran Iqbal (160) and Shubham Khajuria (190) built a massive opening partnership of 344 runs, and Puducherry only made a small comeback late in the day, sending half of the J&K team back. Jammu and Kashmir ended on 491/5 in 130 overs, leading by 106 runs.
With tomorrow being the last day, this one looks most likely to end in a draw, so a big second innings from Aman may not even matter much now, except if he is needed to bat out time for a draw at the end of the day.
Shreyas Gopal Ranji Trophy Round 4 Day 3: 4/39 vs Assam
What a way to finish! After his wicketless 4-over spell on day 1, our captain came back and took 4 wickets for 39 runs in 12 overs, as Karnataka won by an innings and 314 runs.
Karnataka declared on 577/6, and Assam, who were bowled out for 135 in the first innings, were dismissed for just 128 in the second. A good follow-up to his 5/36 in Round 3, and a really convincing win for his team. It is a back-to-back win for Karnataka, and with an innings victory it comes with bonus points as well.
Urvil Patel Ranji Trophy Round 4 Day 3: a quiet day in the field
There was nothing to add for Urvil on day 3, as he stayed on the field while Gujarat bowled Kerala out for 279 in reply to their 534/9 declared and then enforced the follow-on. Kerala ended the day on 41/1 in 16 overs in their second innings, still trailing by 214 runs, after his unbeaten 210 on day 2.
